My goal is to become a multi-millionaire before 30. The point behind that is to aim high so that I get as close as possible to that goal even if it is not at the exact age of 30. I am currently 22 years old as of today. I love http://www.budgetsaresexy.com/2008/04/my-millionaire-to-do-list/ and decided to create one of my own. So here is my millionaire list or how I plan to become a millionaire.
1. Put money in high-yield savings account.
2. Contribute to my 401k every year plus employer match. My goal is to max it out every year. As of December 2011, I am contributing 6% of my income from my main job and I receive an employer match.
3. Contribute to my Roth IRA every year. My goal is to max it out every year.
4. Invest in stock, bonds, and/or mutual funds. Currently, I am in love with dividend stocks.
5. Pay off all debt.
6. Use the 24 hour rule when deciding to buy an item.
7. Increase my passive and overall income.
8. Excel in the accounting field and move up the ranks at my job, which will result in increased salary.
9. Maintain my CPA certification once I get it( I am studying for the CPA exam see my blog www.nicolecouloute.com for more on my progress). This certification is needed to move up the ranks at my main job.
10. Cut any expenses that are not necessary or in which I can find a free alternative.
